What an incredible few days at EDspaces 2025 in Columbus, OH, where 9to5 Seating had the privilege of connecting with educators, designers, facility planners and thought-leaders from across the education spectrum. As we reflect on the event, we’re energized by the ideas exchanged, the new collaborations formed, and the innovative possibilities ahead.
Highlights & Takeaways
- Our booth showcased a curated collection of our latest seating innovations designed specifically for learning environments. Among them: our tech-integrated modular seating solution Koble, our extremely durable high-traffic offerings Vox, Cavo, and Shuttle, and a variety of seating options built to support diverse learning modes ranging from lecture to collaboration to social learning.
- Attendees were actively engaging around how physical space can amplify student engagement, support evolving teaching practices, and integrate technology in smart ways. We heard time and again that flexibility, adaptability, and ergonomic comfort are now non-negotiable elements in effective learning spaces.
- One of our biggest observations: the shift from fixed lecture-style furniture toward furniture that supports movement, choice and student agency. Many school districts and higher-education institutions are looking for seating solutions that are both durable (for high traffic) and thoughtfully designed to foster interaction. That aligns directly with our education seating focus of comfort + adaptability + sustainability. 9to5 Seating
- We were excited to share our new Education Brochure that aligns with these trends, helping institutions strategize seating choices that support modern pedagogy.
Why It Matters
The built environment of a school or campus is no longer just a backdrop for learning—it is part of the curriculum. Furniture choices send messages about how students collaborate, how educators teach, and how schools value their learners.
What’s Next for 9to5 Seating

Thank you to everyone at EDspaces 2025 who stopped by our booth, shared stories, explored our seating solutions, and imagined what learning environments can become. We look forward to the next chapter—together.
