9to5 Seating’s broad selection of high-performance textiles includes vinyl/PVC, polyurethane, silicone, and Crypton® options. Although each fabric type has its unique characteristics, all of them resist moisture and stains, are easy to clean and disinfect, and are available in a variety of different patterns and textures. Download some of our most popular performance performance options and their cleanability data here.

9to5 Seating Mesh, Plastic, and Metal

All of these surfaces can be disinfected with a 1:10 ratio of bleach to water. Following the application of the bleach application, remember to wipe down with water, and dry with a clean cloth.

Vinyl/PVC

Vinyl is known for its ethylene-based coating that laminates the textile. This coating enables it to easily withstand stains, spills and many chemical cleaners. It is an excellent choice for those that are cost-conscious while still requiring design flexibility. Vinyl is not biodegradable and contains phthalates.

Polyurethane

The key to polyurethane longevity is the plastic-based resin. PU fabrics are generally softer than vinyl and can mimic other textiles with ease – even leather. PU is breathable and does not retain heat.

Silicone

Sand is processed into silicone monomers and polymers that result in a textile that is inherently anti-fungal and anti-mildew. Silicone is also a non-toxic and stain-resistant choice. Even ink and marker lifts with ease. It will not crack or peel.

Crypton®

Crypton’s patented technology repels both water- and oil-based stains. This technology also gives it its inherent moisture barrier while also being breathable. With its soft hand, Crypton options are virtually indistinguishable from woven fabrics.

Sol Supports Today’s Flexible Workplace Needs

 

9to5 Seating launches Sol, a new task chair specifically designed to meet the needs of today’s agile workplace. Sol features a flexible back, adjustable arms and seat, engineered to support a range of working postures for users on cell phones, tablets or laptops.

Sol’s pivot-back technology was created to enable the torso rotation and side-to-side movement necessary for sharing or reading screens beyond the desktop. Its upwardly tapered back addresses the need for seating that allows for free movement of the shoulders and arms for users of devices of all kinds. Best-Selling Lilly Collection Expands with New Counter Stool

9to5 Seating is expanding its popular Lilly collection with the addition of a high-design counter stool for café, dining and collaborative spaces.

The new counter stool with a 24” seat height comes with a black or silver wire frame with foot rest for design simplicity. Available in in fabric, vinyl or leather with stitching detail, the new Lilly stool is made for a variety of applications. The new stool features a molded foam seat for comfort and optional glides for various floor surfaces.

The new addition marks an expansion of the stool options for the best-selling Lilly collection of lounge and side seating.

9to5 Seating announces the launch of its CET Designer Extension, providing  customers a new way to get exactly the seating they need. The entire 9to5 Seating catalog is available and free to access. Developed in conjunction with Servex, a Configura Implementation Partner, the 9to5 Seating Extension enables users to perform expert space planning quickly, easily and accurately.

Today, 9to5 Seating announced the all-new Mila, an intelligent seating solution for conference, executive and task seating.

Mila makes ergonomic adjustment easy, with a simple mechanism that automatically adapts to each user’s weight, and fingertip levers that adjust height and back tilt.  The elegant contoured aluminum frame encircles the seat and back and hides the control.  The arms are finished with urethane pads that are soft to the touch.
