HÅG Capisco and HÅG Capisco Puls Now Available

9to5 Seating will begin manufacturing one of Europe’s most groundbreaking seating products of the last century. The HÅG Capisco and HÅG Capisco Puls feature versatility and unparalleled ergonomics that are right in step with the active seating movement popular in the US market.

The innovative design of HÅG Capisco and HÅG Capisco Puls integrates movement with comfort through thoughtful engineering. HÅG in Balance® trademarked technology allows for continuous motion, making shifting seating positions easy and intuitive. Unique in the market, HÅG Capisco and HÅG Capisco Puls are exceptionally suited for seating that must adapt to different heights, with three cylinder heights, for use at a traditional desk, at a standing desk or alternating between the two. A treaded foot plate on the base enables easily shifting between positions.

The curved seat on the HÅG Capisco and HÅG Capisco Puls is reminiscent of a saddle to promote a natural upright posture. The seat’s contours open up the hip angle, extending the spine and opens the chest for positioning that helps fight fatigue throughout the day, promoting workplace performance. The standard seat slider and the height-adjustable back accommodate a variety of users.

HÅG Capisco and HÅG Capisco Puls complement each other for workplace-wide seating. The HÅG Capisco is seating for a primary workstation, while companion chair HÅG Capisco Puls, with its polypropylene frame, is designed for conference rooms, lobbies or shared workspaces that see shorter sitting periods. Both chairs are 90% recyclable, in line with HÅG and 9to5 Seating’s dedication to sustainability. HÅG Capisco Puls’ polypropylene is 100% recycled, and both chairs have achieved BIFMA LEVEL 1 and GREENGUARD certifications.

“9to5 Seating is honored to introduce the award-winning, iconic HÅG Capisco and HÅG Capisco Puls—that have won numerous European awards—under the 9to5 Seating umbrella,” said Dara Mir, President and CEO of 9to5 Seating. “Once again proving we’re dedicated to providing the best ergonomic seating to our customers.”

HÅG Capisco and HÅG Capisco Puls are backed by 9to5 Seating’s limited lifetime warranty. Both the HÅG Capisco and HÅG Capisco Puls are rated to 300 lbs. HÅG Capisco starts at $1450 List, HÅG Capisco Puls starts at $975 List.

Sol Supports Today’s Flexible Workplace Needs

9to5 Seating launches Sol, a new task chair specifically designed to meet the needs of today’s agile workplace. Sol features a flexible back, adjustable arms and seat, engineered to support a range of working postures for users on cell phones, tablets or laptops.

Sol’s pivot-back technology was created to enable the torso rotation and side-to-side movement necessary for sharing or reading screens beyond the desktop. Its upwardly tapered back addresses the need for seating that allows for free movement of the shoulders and arms for users of devices of all kinds. These innovations round out Sol’s other ergonomic design features including adjustable arms, seat, lumbar and synchro mechanism.

Sol’s design supports its purpose with a slim layer of upholstery or mesh allowing easy movement. Sol’s modern lines and aluminum accents were created with a contemporary workspace or conference room in mind.

“Sol was imagined for integration in today’s fluid workplace,” said Dara Mir, President and CEO of 9to5 Seating. “Smart design isn’t a perk anymore—it’s how today’s offices do business.”

Sol starts at $925 list, is BIFMA LEVEL 1, GREENGUARD Gold certified and warranted to 300 lbs. Click here to learn more about the new Sol.

Active Seating Standout Remy

9to5 Seating enters the active seating market with Remy, a design-forward, lightweight addition to an ergo-conscious office. Remy is a motion stool with a unique curved rocker-shaped base that encourages spinal alignment and freedom of movement throughout the day.

Remy’s 20° front-to-back rock facilitates a hip-to-femur angle that engages core muscles that support good posture. Its base features a non-marking, non-slip tread. Whether at a standing desk or a standard-height surface, its push-button height adjustment and 360° swivel makes it ideal for those that like to perch, those that prefer a traditional sit, as well as those that go back and forth.

The design possibilities are plentiful with Remy. Its molded foam seat may be covered with any fabric, and it comes in black and white plastic colors. This flexibility paired with its light weight enables it to suit various environments, including cafés, collaborative zones, impromptu areas, and more.

“Remy demonstrates what is possible when innovation, design, and wellness converge,” says Dara Mir, President and CEO of 9to5 Seating. “With its stylish form, Remy complements the workspace just as well as it supports the body.”

Remy is available to order starting at $395 List. Remy is GREENGUARD Gold certified.

Update from 9to5 Seating

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has had a profound impact on the world. We, like many of you, are planning, following CDC protocols and carefully watching the news. As we hope for the best, we are preparing for the potential impact that will affect our industry. Let me take this moment to share with you the measures 9to5 Seating is taking to minimize any interruption in service for you and your business.

Fortunately, due to our unique vertical integration and ownership of our factory in China, we are able to mitigate supply shortage issues. While the production of our Chinese factory was impacted by a couple weeks due to COVID-19, our factory was one of the first in our region to re-open. Currently, our factory is at 100% production capacity and we are adding staff to increase production. Our outside suppliers are averaging at 80% production capacity, and we are receiving daily updates. We are, also, maintaining our weekly shipping schedule of containers of component parts to our factory in California.

Also, in anticipation of the Lunar New Year, we proactively increased our supply orders. This effort has helped buffer the situation. Again, due to wholly owning our own factory and controlling the supply, we are in the practice of holding plenty of safety stock in China so that we do not have to wait for parts to be produced.

Regarding transportation, while we do not have full control over our logistics partners, we are utilizing vessel lines that have the fastest service.

At our Hawthorne HQ, we are closely monitoring the situation and following CDC guidelines for the health of our employees and visitors. Both our factory production team and our Customer Care support team are fully staffed and orders are being processed and shipped as usual. We know many of you have asked that outside visits be kept to a minimum and have asked our sales representatives to honor your policies and keep their group meetings to a minimum. However, they are ready to support you, as always, with project support, individual meetings and samples.

With health at stake, these supply issues are small in the grand scheme of things. However, doing our small part to keep your business thriving matters to us. While we are doing our best to plan and execute during this difficult time, there may be some developments beyond our control that may disrupt our supply chain. With this in mind, please allow as much time as possible on projects with critical installation dates and convey those dates to us.

As this situation evolves, we are committed to providing open communication. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to anyone on the 9to5 Seating team. We are here to help in any way we can.

On behalf of the 9to5 Seating team, thank you for being a loyal partner. We hope that you and your families stay healthy and safe during this time.
